Debbie Sue Wall, 62, passed Sunday, December 27th, 2020, in Reno, Nevada.
She leaves as her legacy two daughters: Tosha Cort and son-in-law, Adam Kimbell, and Aleshia Datschefski and son-in-law, Paul Datschefski, and their two daughters, Ella Nita (3yr) and Rosie Louise (7mo). She also leaves to cherish her memory: Step-father, Lynn; Aunt Vickey; Uncle Ray; two brothers, Dave and Billy; and nieces and nephews: Mayme, Marci, David, Daniel, and Kelsey.
Debbie was born in Kansas City, Missouri, but spent the majority of her life in Independence, Missouri where she started her family and raised her daughters. Her daughters remember her as a woman who “got shit done.” They recall many of the skill sets she taught them including: changing car breaks and oil, making a fire, hanging drywall, and driving.
Debbie loved nature and animals. She enjoyed hiking, camping, and being a Girl Scout leader for many years. While living in North Carolina she loved volunteering her time at the Horse Protection Society of North Carolina, Inc.
Debbie was a traveling soul. After living in Missouri and North Carolina, she moved to Texas. After that, she moved to Reno and spent her remaining years there. During her last four years, she would make an annual trip to visit her daughters and granddaughter, Ella. Memories from those trips will live on in her family.
If you wish to make a donation in Debbie’s honor, please donate to Hilarity for Charity, an Alzheimer’s awareness and family care organization at www.wearehfc.org, or to Horse Protection Society of North Carolina, Inc. at www.horseprotection.org.
Due to Covid-19, there will be no funeral service. An in person memorial will be planned for a later date, and an online memorial will be held with close family. Please shelter in place if you can and stay safe.
