Michael lost his courageous fight and passed away peacefully at home. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Anne Marie Zinzer, his children, Anne Marie Wagner, Morgan (Tina Michelle) Richmond and his beloved youngest daughter, Sarah Anne Stubbs. Michael loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren regaling then with stories of the times he was a commercial fisherman in the Northwest and woodland firefighter in the Gifford-Pinchon National Forest.
Michael served honorably as a veteran of the United State Marine Corps. After his service he owned his own construction company in Portland, Oregon, worked with the Beaverton School District, and then, moving to Port Orchard, Washington partnered with his long time and previous deck hand, Marc Coombs starting Pacific Specialty Contracting. Michael was an avid fisherman his entire life, wrote and published three novels, cherished his grandchildren and great grandchildren and leaves us all with wonderful loving memories.
He is at last at peace. Sempre Fi.
