James Willis Sellers

James Sellers 52, of Reno, NV., and formerly of Macomb and Normal, IL., passed into God’s peaceful embrace surrounded by the love of his wife, son, daughter and dogs.

James shared his dry and unique sense of humor with the world even while suffering from cancer during the last nine months.

He is survived by his college sweetheart and wife of 26 years, Stephanie (Storey) Sellers, and beloved children, Owen and Zoe. He is also survived by Colby Charles Sellers II (Michelle) of IL. His sister, Robin (Shane) Haux of Helena, Montana. He is also survived by his beloved bulldog, Tugwell (Tuggy) Sellers. He is preceded in death by his parents, Colby Charles and Sandra R. Sellers, his brother Byron, grandparents and his soul dog, Foley.

James enjoyed reading daily. He read huge books with historical fiction/nonfiction and sci-fi as his preferred genres. He loved the Star Wars saga, having been captivated by the movie at age four. He also loved his Kansas City Chiefs since a teenager, and relished the recent Super Bowl wins.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a Memorial Service will be held at a future date as the family needs time to grieve privately.
