Jacqueline Ann-Marie Poll Lewis

Jacqueline Ann-Marie Poll Lewis passed away unexpectedly on December 19, 2023 in Reno, Nevada. She was born on September 25, 1956 to Joyce and Jay Poll in Battle Creek, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Jeanne Poll. She is survived by her husband Bryan, four brothers Jim, Tom, Dan, and Tim, three children, and two grandsons.

Jackie was a source of infinite love and caring, and knew her calling was in helping others. As a Registered Nurse, caring and nurturing those in need. As a gardener, she used her green thumb to grow and supply food from her garden, each year making everyone’s favorite - her homemade salsa. As a caretaker of all living things, she opened her heart and home to nurse rescue animals back to health to the delight of her children. As a teacher, imparting advice, creativity, excitement, and passion in all hobbies and interests to those around her. Jackie’s hobbies/interests were evidence of how she spread her love and kindness. Her excitement for life and creativity bloomed into many masterpieces, the blessed recipients of her generosity receiving a piece of her embedded into handmade quilts that will provide comfort and love for friends and family for many years.  She was truly kind to everyone who crossed her path, and despite every obstacle she faced in life, she still found gratitude and strength each day.

Jackie and Bryan, happily married for 39 years, were brought together as adventurous spirits and formed an unbreakable bond, together raising a beautiful family, supporting and nurturing their children with the love and caring spirit with which Jackie and Bryan shared over many years.

Jackie’s love for her children, Nick, Katie, and Amy, was the type of love that’s written about in storybooks. There was not a single day that passed without a “love you to the moon and back”, “I’m lucky - blessed to have you all!”, or “love you!” sent or said to them. She made sure that her love was always felt by her kids, and never questioned. She was not a mother to only her children, but also to many others who were lucky enough to have spent time with Jackie. She was the first to become involved, giving support and encouragement through sporting events as kids, long distance care packages, and ‘thinking of you’ phone calls when no one but her knew they were needed; her love had no limit or restraint.

Jackie’s grandsons, Enzo and Elliott, were a recent blessing over the last year and a half, to whom she spent time reading, playing, singing, and rocking for many hours. Her love, along with her nurturing spirit and silliness, can be seen in their smiles and laughs. She loved being an invaluable source of wisdom, guidance, and support for her children as new parents. She was the type of grandma that grandchildren and their parents dream about, and it was a role that she was truly meant and destined for.

Jackie will be intensely missed and her legacy, spirit, and love lives on through family and friends. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 17th at Grace Church in Reno, NV at 10am. Her excitement for life is best remembered by wearing bright, colorful clothing accompanied with favorite memories of her, as Jackie would love and enjoy.
