In Loving Memory of Irmgard "Jenny" Cooper
Mom passed away peacefully on June 16th 2026 at her home in her bedroom where she was surrounded by Love...Her beautiful daughters Mary & LilliAn by her side. She was born on April 28, 1928, in Germany where she met and fell in love with her late husband John "JJ" Cooper. They were married more than 66 years. They bought their home in Reno and lived out their lives taking care of their yard which was Jenny's passion. You would see her bent over picking those darn dandelions and making sure her lawn, shrubs and flowers were in tip top shape. Mom was always a hard worker and worked for the Nevada Club almost 30 years before they closed their doors. She had a small role in the movie "The Greatest Story Ever Told" which was filmed out at Pyramid Lake, and also had an extra role in "The Pink Cadillac". She had a very loving, kind and generous nature and so very friendly. She would walk her neighborhood and to Idlewild Park where most everyone she passed would stop chat and give Mom hugs...she so loved her Hugs. Throughout her life she would have a dog by her side, she had so much love for her pets. She loved nature. She will be missed by everyone who came into her life but mostly by her daughters Mary & Lillian and her Grandaughter Maggie who spent the last 4 years taking care of anything Mom needed help with or just staying over and playing some games. Mom was preceded in death by her Mom who was her very best friend, her husband whom she never stopped loving, her Son who was the light in her eyes, her twin brother, and so many friends who gave her years of Joy. She is survived by her daughters Lillian from Florida, Mary from Arizona and her Granddaughter Maggie.
Thank you to the wonderful people at Hospice who helped Mom make the transition.
Rest in Peace our Beautiful Mother, Grandmother and Friend.![]()
