Esther Romero De Reyes

Esther Romero Reyes, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 76 on July 29th, 2023, in her cherished home in Reno, Nevada. Born on December 10th, 1946, Esther’s greatest joy was bringing loved ones together, and her warm embrace was the glue that bonded generations of family.

Esther was a pillar of strength and wisdom. Facing many challenges from a very young age, she inspired those around her to persevere through any adversities. These humble beginnings became the foundation upon which a strong and united family was built. Once she met her beloved husband, Jess Reyes, he became the light in her life, and she was not alone in her journey to build the family she cared so deeply for.

She is survived by her husband, Jess Reyes; her four children, Elizabeth, Barbara, Richard, and Margaret; her 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Tony, Ruben, Josephine, and Amparo; and nieces, nephews, and cousins. Our memory of Esther will forever remain in our hearts and will be a reminder to spread the love and compassion she always shared with all of us.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, August 14th, 2023, at Masonic Memorial Gardens - 437 Stoker Ave. Reno, NV - from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Flowers can be sent to Masonic Memorial Gardens. A reception will be held at Jess and Esther’s home following the memorial services. Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating Esther’s life and paying their respects.

Esther Romero Reyes will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing that her presence will forever be felt in the lives she touched.
