Anne Jennings Williams

June 19, 1957 — July 12, 2022

Beloved sister, aunt, and friend to so many, Anne Jennings Williams passed away on July 12 of this year in Reno, Nevada. Born in Ewa, Hawaii on June 19, 1957, as a child, Anne lived in New Jersey, California, and Florida before moving to Nevada twenty-five years ago.  She graduated from the University of Florida with an undergraduate degree, as well as a law degree.

She was a fierce advocate for the underdog. At the time of her passing she was an attorney with Washoe County Legal Services ensuring guardianships were meeting the needs of those for whom they were responsible.  Anne loved her job and so appreciated the unwavering support she received there during her illness.

Anne had two passions in life: travel and Phish.  She saw the world and had both the fond memories and dozens of photo albums to help relive each adventure.  Phish concerts were non-negotiable. She was going and was never disappointed.

Anne had a loving circle of friends whose care, concern, and literal life-saving devotion was a source of deep joy and appreciation for her. Their efforts will never be forgotten by her family.

She also had many adored dogs over the years, especially her beloved Tahoe, Mesa, and Bartley.

Anne is predeceased by her parents, Kenneth and Alice Williams and her sister Martha. She leaves behind her dear friends, her brothers Andy and Matt (Donna), sister Alice (Tom), brother-in-law Jim Buxton, five nephews: Zeke (Anne), Matt (Nancy), Paul (Liz), James (Jessica), and Sam along with seven grand nephews and two grand nieces.

A celebration of her life was held in Reno, Nevada on July 15, 2022 where loving, funny, and amazing stories of her life well-lived were shared by all.
